The cover story in the June 2007 issue of Motor Trend magazine about the new Ford Shelby GT500KR was written during the early development of the car. The initial vehicle unveiled in New York was a concept and final content for the production version had not yet been determined. As the terrific article was created during the fluid period leading up to the announcement of the KR at the New York Auto Show, some information is not correct for the production version of the vehicle including the potential MSRP. Subsequent data indicates that the significant list of KR enhancements means that the MSRP will probably be higher than estimated by Motor Trend. However, neither final pricing nor allocation of cars have been finalized at this time.

In addition, the Shelby Automobiles team would like to acknowledge the significance of the Ford Racing partnership to create the new Ford Shelby GT500 Super Snake that was included in the article.
